HKNPL is committed to embracing environmental, social and governance considerations into its operation.

A steering committee led by the senior management advises on strategies to achieve this goal, with staff at all levels working coherently and cohesively to execute the various initiatives. As a socially responsible organisation, we commit to move towards carbon neutrality by 2050 in alignment with the Government’s Climate Action Plan 2050.

Our sustainability strategy is founded on three pillars: Environment, People & Social Responsibility, and Governance.

Environment

To adopt a sustainable production strategy
To reduce environmental footprint by enhancing efficiency and reducing energy consumption intensity
To adopt eco-friendly materials, improve waste management and increase resource circularity
To maintain an effective environmental management system in compliance with ISO14001

People & Social Responsibility

To maintain a safe work environment and a robust health and safety management system in compliance with ISO45001
To build a motivated workforce and develop a skills pipeline supporting future development of HKNPL
To foster a collaborative and caring workplace
To promote a quality working environment and encourage a culture of caring for the society
